چکیده
ABSTRACT Background: The video head impulse test (vHIT) is a recent technique for functional evaluation of semicircular canals (SSCs). vHIT examines eye movements at high frequencies stimulation and provides an objective assessment the functioning high-frequency domain vestibular system. Objective: To describe results from performed using two systems. Methods: All subjects were evaluated through audiological otoneurological battery tests diagnosed as normal or abnormal by otorhinolaryngologist. systems: 1. ICS Impulse (Otometrics/Natus, Denmark) 2. EyeSeeCam (InterAcoustics, recorded. same operator delivered every to subject. impulses while was standing behind subject, both hands on top subject’s head, well away goggles strap forehead skin. Two calibrations completed in each system, prior beginning test. Results: Test parameters recorded systems healthy with no history complaint any disorder (N = 12; M/F 5/7; age 35.1 ± 13.5 y) pathological diagnosis unilateral bilateral 15; 7/8; 53.4 16.7 y). Conclusions: important tool complementary evaluation. Both are reliable disorders. seems reject fewer data more information include diagnostics. Because small sample, there need further in-depth comparison

The Video Head Impulse Test (vHIT) of Semicircular Canal Function – Age-Dependent Normative Values of VOR Gain in Healthy Subjects
BACKGROUND/HYPOTHESIS The video Head Impulse Test (vHIT) is now widely used to test the function of each of the six semicircular canals individually by measuring the eye rotation response to an abrupt head rotation in the plane of the canal. The main measure of canal adequacy is the ratio of the eye movement response to the head movement stimulus, i.e., the gain of the vestibulo-ocular reflex (...
متن کاملThe Video Head Impulse Test (vHIT) Detects Vertical Semicircular Canal Dysfunction
BACKGROUND The video head impulse test (vHIT) is a useful clinical tool to detect semicircular canal dysfunction. However vHIT has hitherto been limited to measurement of horizontal canals, while scleral search coils have been the only accepted method to measure head impulses in vertical canals. The goal of this study was to determine whether vHIT can detect vertical semicircular canal dysfunct...
